Pantone’s color of the year 2019 (what is that?) A perspective from Ryan Rose at Keller Williams Realty Downtown, LLC
Pantone had its official start in the color world in 1963 when it started its Pantone matching system (PMS) which created a universal color language for design professionals. Since then this universal color language has morphed into a major influence in the design world. Have you heard of the phrase Millennial Pink? This shade of pink known as ‘Rose Quartz’ was selected as the color of the year in 2016. Since then you have likely seen this color show up everywhere. Clothing, sheets, wall paint, jewelry, towels, phone cases and background colors on websites. Pantone has this unique ability not only to predict trending colors but also to catapult color trends. How does this affect you as a home owner? This affects you in many ways, you can get a slight jump on the next color trend by painting your front door or replacing your couch pillows with the latest trending color years before the stores become saturated with that shade. The trend in color is shifting to deeper jewel tones. 2018’s color of the year was Ultra Violet 18-3838 you will see this color showing up in more mediums in 2019.
And Pantone did not disappoint for 2019 with another deep jewel tone Living Coral 16-1546 is a deep pink perfect for small accents throughout the home and garden.

"We worked with the team of Jason Peck, Matthew Koller and associates in the sale of our home in Denver and the purchase of the new property in Thornton. Their advise to us on improvements and presentation aided us in an increased value of our home making it possible to purchase a much better home than we expected. The entire team are professional and easy to work with, understanding our needs for the best possible results.
