The real estate market is booming, we all witnessed the
enormous economic downturn in 2008 and its effect on homes. However from 2008
to 2013 Colorado homes have actually appreciated 7.63%. Homes are flying off
the market with multiple offers coming in on the same day, there’s
no question Colorado homes are in high demand but why Colorado?
If you have ever been to Colorado there is probably no
reason to explain why this state is so amazing. From the beautiful scenery to
the heart pounding night life, Colorado offers everything that you could
possibly ask for.
1) Growth - Based on Forbes, Denver Colorado
is now ranked 6th fastest growing city in America. Greeley Colorado is also
ranked 2nd fastest growing city in the nation, by Yahoo. With an estimated
population of 5.2 million people in 2013 it is predicted that by the year 2040,
roughly 7.7 million people will live in Colorado. The Denver-Boulder area is
expected to have an increase of nearly a million people, while the population
in Larimer and Weld County is predicted to almost double to 1.054 million.
2) Health - Denver is not called the mile
high city for nothing, Colorado is ranked as the 6th healthiest state with the
lowest obesity rate in the nation. Denver is also ranked the 5th fittest city
in the country. Not to mention out of the 68 mountains that are over 14,000
feet in the US, 54 of them are located in Colorado. Working out and staying
healthy aren’t simple hobbies, it's a way of life
3) Climate - The climate in Colorado is
something to admire on its own, with over 300 days of sunshine every year, it's
not out of the ordinary for locals to go skiing in the morning and play a round
of golf in the afternoon. With over 9000 feet of elevation gain available in
Colorado, it allows for snowy winters in the mountains and sunny dry conditions
at lower elevations. What more could you ask for? 4) Scenery - The breath taking scenery in
Colorado is something of another world. Offering areas such as Estes Park and
Maroon Bells there are countless numbers of jaw dropping views. Some other
iconic areas; Red Rocks amphitheater, Garden of the Gods, The Royal Gorge,
Hanging Lakes, Steamboat Rock the list simply goes on and on. There's nothing
that you can’t find in Colorado. It should be known
as the "Wonder of America"
I could sit here and talk about how wonderful Colorado
is for days, but what good does that really do? For your next vacation, I urge
you to come out and explore this wonderful state and witness everything it can
offer you first hand. And if you already live in this amazing state go explore,
there’s always something new to do out there.
