Denver has some great neighborhoods, but one of my favorites is on the outskirts of Denver in Castle Pines Colorado. Castle Pines is approximately 20 miles south of Denver and has a population of a little over 10,000. The city's stated vision is. "Enhance our community's unique character by ensuring excellent infrastructure, safe neighborhoods, maximum citizen participation and conscientious development that balances open space, residential and commercial uses."
Castle Pines is currently home to 3,500 households, but recently Shea Homes Colorado acquired 1,270 acres of land on the eastern border of Castle Pines and plans to oversee the development of a new master-planned residential community in The Canyons that is expected to nearly double the size of Castle Pines. Shea's portion of the development will include 2,000 single- and multifamily homes ready for move-in in 2018.
